Get to Know Bob!
Why did you get into golf?
I picked up golf in my late 20s and instantly fell in love with it. Watching Tiger Woods turn pro lit a fire—I became a serious student of the game and never looked back.
What advice would you have for golfers?
Believe in yourself. Pick your target, look at the ball, and commit fully. Visualize the shot you want to hit, not the one you fear. Don’t swing until you’re 100% committed. Mindset is everything—focus on the process, not the outcome. And if you want more distance? Start doing push-ups. It’s the simplest power upgrade most golfers ignore.
Who do you like to coach?
I have a true passion for youth development. Years of coaching junior soccer and football teams showed me how much fun it is to help young athletes build confidence, resilience, and real skills that transfer far beyond the game.
Whether you’re a junior just starting out or an adult looking to play your best golf ever, I’m here to help you build a stronger, more confident game.
What is your teaching style?
As a dedicated student of human performance, I bring together deep knowledge in kinesiology, strength & conditioning, nutrition, martial arts (Shinkendo and Shaolin Kung Fu), and high-pressure motorsports (motorcycle and car racing). I coach golfers of all ages with a holistic approach—building focus, acceptance, mental toughness, strength, mobility, and sustainable athletic growth both on and off the course.
What is something interesting about you that is not golf related?
I come from an interesting mix: my father was a Ph.D. Mathematician and my mother a left-handed Master Artisan. That blend of analytical and creative thinking has shaped how I approach everything. I’ve trained with Arnold Schwarzenegger at World Gym in Venice Beach, competed in Team Discovery Channel’s “Race to Replace Lance Armstrong” 40K time trial at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, hit 175 mph on a motorcycle, and completed my very first mountain bike ride on the epic 92-mile Kokopelli Trail from Fruita to Moab.
