Get to Know Katie!
Why did you get into golf?
I fell in love with the challenge and the connections it creates - golf pushes you and brings people together.
What advice would you have for golfers?
Chase progress, not perfection - and enjoy the process.
Who do you like to coach?
I love coaching beginner adults who are new to the game or looking to get more comfortable playing. My goal is to take away the intimidating, “scary” feeling that can come with starting golf and replace it with confidence, fun, and a sense of belonging—especially for those wanting to play in more organized events.
I also enjoy working with kids who are just getting started, helping them build skills while making the game exciting and something they truly have passion for.
What is your teaching style?
I focus on keeping things simple and manageable—working on just a few key concepts at a time so players don’t feel overwhelmed. I use lots of hands-on drills that players can take with them, giving them tools to practice independently and rely on when they get frustrated.
What is something interesting about you that is not golf related?
I’m allergic to grass… which makes being a golf coach pretty ironic!
