Get to Know Philip!
Why did you get into golf?
I took up golf in my late 20's for something to do between ski seasons. I fell in love with the game and decided to make it my career.
What advice would you have for golfers?
Embrace change and the frustration that comes with it. Change is hard but if you want to make lasting changes to your game, it is very necessary.
Who do you like to coach?
I am the primary coach for the junior coaching programs, focused on golfers who are committed to long-term development. If you are looking to play on a high school team, play in college, or win your club championship, I can certainly help you.
What is your teaching style?
I use the latest technology and instruction techniques to help my students understand the swing at a deeper level. Better understanding leads to more substantial change. I also takes a holistic approach to helping everyone play better golf through swing mechanics, short game, mental approach, and proper fitting clubs.
What is something interesting about you that is not golf related?
I’ve been a "Swifty" since before being a fan of Taylor Swift was called being a "Swifty"!
